If your child is unwell during the school day we will contact you through the telephone numbers you have supplied. It is important that you notify the office of any changes of contacts. We will send out a check sheet at the beginning of each year for you to update.

If your child is unwell at the beginning of the day then please do not send them in. It is important that you let us know, by telephone, as soon as possible. If we have not heard from you we will contact you.

It is advisable to keep your child at home for at least 24 hours from the last occasion of vomiting or diarrhoea. Please do not send you child in with an infectious disease, even if they seem well. A child with impetigo or conjunctivitis will be sent home.

We would be grateful if you would notify the School immediately head lice are discovered so that we can inform other parents.

We can only take responsibility for administering medicine or drugs given on prescription. In order to do this an authorisation form needs to be completed. This is available from the office. Medicine for minor ailments such as colds, which need to be taken three times a day, can usually be taken before school, immediately after school and at bedtime. Any parent wishing to administer medicine to a child during the school day may come into school to do so. Children who are unwell or unable to cope with the school day should be kept at home.

Dental and Medical Appointments

If children are collected for appointments during the school day, please notify the class teacher in advance and report to the school office to collect them. You will be asked to sign them out of school.
