School trips and activities

At Charleton we put a lot of emphasis on the wider curriculum. We make the most of our environment and have a focus on performing arts. We take part in the local gym and dance festival every year and all learn a musical instrument.

The highlight of our year is our whole school summer production. Every child has a part (usually speaking!) and we perform at the local secondary school in their theatre.

All our upper key stage two children are supremely confident in performing and take on lead roles - regularly singing solo. Here is a sound clip of some of the highlights of the summer 2015 show - Cinderella Rockerfella:

The final song of the show... Happy ever after...

We love going on our school outings!

We have been on lots of trips and had lots of visitors so far this year. Visiting governors for our history topic, Junior Life Skills, First aid training and a workshop on WW1 from the Barnabus Foundation.
